PATIENTS with heart problems could be waiting up to a month to get x-ray results because there is no full time radiologist at Mallow General Hospital. GPs in North Cork may now have to wait several week before they can diagnose patients with recurring heart problems when the results should be available within days.

Fermoy and 'Franc' — a match made in heaven?
FERMOY town will be in festive mood this week end as RTE celebrity Bainisteoir Peter Kelly of "Weddings by Franc" fame, will be introducing his Fermoy football team to a fanfare of trumpets at a gala reception to be held on Ashe Quay on this Friday evening at approx 7pm. Prior to this, Fermoy Town Council, who have got behind this event in a big way, will have Ashe Quay closed for the afternoon to allow for a hell of a big street party to go ahead with music and food etc available all afternoon.
