McDermott: Discipline the key
Monday December 07 2009
Discipline was the key to Kilmurry-Ibrickane's narrow victory over Kerin's O'Rahilly's in the Munster Club SFC final, according to manager Michael McDermott.
"The one thing about this team is that our discipline has been very strong over the last two years. It's what we pride ourselves on... we didn't give away scoreable frees in key positions and that was vital," he said.
"Our game plan was to be really intense and tackle all over the field. I'd say that went a long way to winning that game.
The Clare champions squeezed home by 0-7 to 0-6, thanks to a stoppage time winner by substitute Evan Talty.
