Comedy showcase at City Limits

ON Saturday, August 21 Chris Kent and Jason Coughlan present a comedy showcase special at City Limits featuring six of the best up and coming talents on the comedy scene.

Both of these Cork comedians are well known on the Irish comedy scene and in this role are sure to make the audience cry with laughter.

Chris is a young up and coming comedian who last year won the Bulmers Nottin Butt Funny competition in Dublin. He is a regular at comedy events in Australia and he also ended up in the Western Australian Final of The Green Faces Australian Comedy Competition.

Described as "effortlessly funny" by Jarlath Regan, Chris is one of Ireland's rapidly rising comedians. Notably, he also played the Olympia Theatre to 1200 people and has supported all the major Irish comedians in the Bulmers Clonmel Comedy Festival.

Marked as one to watch out for, Chris's own unique style focuses on his life and his sharp observations always make for entertaining nights.

Jason Coughlan is also a comedian of very high calibre. Jason debuted at the Fringe Festival in 2009 and could be hailed as one of Cork's top funny men.

His style is very entertaining and with his warm, edgy and occasionally filthy humour, it isn't hard to figure why he is such a hit with audiences in top clubs on the Irish circuit.

To date he has performed across Ireland and the UK in London, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Jason is a regular on Cork's Red fm and has also worked on Cork's 96 fm.

Tickets for this comedy showcase are €15 and the gig starts at 9pm. For more information/bookings visit www.thecomedyclub.ie.
