Delight as Banteer Glen players scoop six drama awards
Banteer Glen players are back in the Glen this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 11, 12 and 13 following their achievements at the Ballincollig Drama Festival, where they won no less than six awards. Adjudicator Catherine Beamish was fulsome in her praise of both plays for the quality of its entertainment, comedy, acting ability, direction and production. 'A Wake in the West' was awarded best play, best director, comic golden moment and best comedy. 'Last Tango in the Glen' received two awards with best supporting actors Sinéad Murphy and Martin O'riordan. Full houses are anticipated for all shows so booking is advisable.
