Delorentos unleash 'Little Sparks'
DUBLIN four-piece Delorentos are to play Cork's Cyprus Avenue as part of a national tour to co-incide with the release of their third album, "Little Sparks", which hit stores last Friday.
The quartet have already received rave reviews for 'Litte Sparks,' which they previewed for fans with an intimate acousic show in the Triskel Arts Centre last November.
Recorded with Mercury Music Prize Award Winner Rob Kirwan (PJ Harvey), the 12 tracks are the fullyfledged fruits of their recordings over 2011. They display a depth of songwriting prowess that ably eclipses the band's first two albums and offers a real insight into the ever-growing potential of the group.
It follows hot on the heels of the recent four-track EP (of the same name) which came packaged with a full colour, 40 page magazine that the band devised and edited – with the help of their friends – and was accompanied by a successful acoustic tour of Ireland.
Tickets priced €14 are available from www.cyprusavenue.ie.
