CORK City Limits Comedy Club will play host to a feast of comedy for lucky audiences in the coming weeks.

John Colleary will be playing in City Limits on Saturday, August 14 at 9.30pm.

The Sligo born comedian is a regular face in The Capital Comedy Club, Dublin, where they say he is "worth seeing again and again" and this will not be his first visit to City Limits Comedy Club.

John already is well established on the Irish comedy circuit and has supported many Irish comedians including Ed Byrne, Joe Rooney, Dave McSavage and David O'Doherty.

Described as having a cheeky wit and a quickfire, think-on-his feet comedian, John is well known around Ireland and the UK, having performed at the Kilkenny Cats Laugh, Edinburgh Comedy Festival and the Carlsberg Comedy Carnival recently.

As well as doing regular comedy gigs John is also involved in television series such as David McSavage's IFTA nominated 'The Savage Eye' and a member of Channel 4's cult show 'Headwreckers'.

He was also co-creator of 'TJ and TJ', a regular comedy slot on the Last Word on Today FM.

Colleary's credits also include 'Naked Camera', 'Project Ha Ha' as well as an appearance on popular BBC show 'One Night Stand'.

Doors on the night open at 9pm and tickets for the gig cost €15.

Meanwhile, the wonderful Eleanor Tiernan will grace the stage in Cork City Limits Comedy Club on Friday, August 28 at 9pm.

Since starting comedy, Eleanor has performed at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, the Galway Comedy Festival, in the Best of Irish at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and was also a semi-finalist in the Paramount Comedy's So You Think You're Funny? competition.

Within a year of starting stand-up, Eleanor was asked to perform in Dublin's Vicar Street for the RTE production The Liffey Laughs, and BBC's One Night Stand.

Eleanor, who is a cousin of the ever-popular fellow comedian Tommy Tiernan, starred in the play Help!, which she wrote with her cousins, Tommy and Niamh Tiernan, and performed with great success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Eleanor also made her solo show debut at Edinburgh in 2008 to critical acclaim. Eleanor has recently completed 120 shows as the support act for Tommy Tiernan's Bovinity tour, playing to over 120,000 people.

The comedian is also set to star in the upcoming RTE Two shows 'The Savage Eye' and 'Fancy Vittles' with fellow funnywoman Maeve Higgins. According to The List, "Eleanor blows 'the women aren't funny' myth right outta the water!"

Tickets are only €15 and are available from Cork City Limits Comedy Club on 0214501206.
