Dairy show promises to be a model day out

VISITORS to Millstreet for the National Dairy Show may well do a double take when a tractor and trailer competition with a difference takes place.
The competition will test young drivers' skills at reversing radio controlled 1:32 scale tractors. On the day there will be competitions for under 10s and under 13s with national titles on offer.
Prizes are being sponsored by Model Mania, Mad for Models and Collectors Toys in Innishannon. There will also be a selection of the country's best model farms on display at the event, making it a must for all interested in model farms.
The event will, as always, be a great family day with a large trade exhibition and the best of Ireland's dairy cows on show. This year's show will be officially opened by the Agriculture Mniister Simon Coveney.
Other attractions at the event on Saturday, October 15 will include a 'Cork Macra clubs display, face-painting and bouncy castles for children, as well as butter making demonstrations. The fun starts at 9.30am.
