THE annual St Patrick's Day parade in Mallow offers much more colour this year and will have a distinctive circus feel. The parade will assemble in the town park at 1.45pm on Wednesday and will proceed through West End and Main Street at 2.30pm.
Well-deserved win for Lyre in Ducon Cup
DUCON CUP: Lyre finally got their Ducon cup campaign facing in a positive direction with a win over Kanturk at the weekend. A game which they well deserved the two points from, started well after an opportunist goal from Jack Roche on five minutes after a misplaced shot from his brother Denis. The only other score of the half coming on the 13th minute from Ger Mannix, indeed it was the defence of both teams which prevailed in the opening 30 with Martin Kearney and Coleman Mannix displaying some effective work.
