FR. O MULLANE COMMEMORATION MASS: Mass will be celebrated in Kilcorney on Sunday November 6 at 10.30am to commemorate the 120th Anniversary of the death of Fr. John O Mullane.
A native of Newmarket the story of his life and death has been well documented and his memory is still retained by the people of Kilcorney and indeed much further afield. Prayers will also be offered for all the departed at Old Kilcorney Graveyard at 3pm.
DROMTARIFFE JUVENILLE SOCIAL: Dromtariffe Juvenille G.A.A. will hold their Annual Social in the Wallis Arms on Friday November 25 at 8pm. The past season has been very successful with the u-14 double winners being among the highlight. Tickets will be available from Derrinagree Post Office and Rathcoole Post Office. Early booking is advisable as numbers will be limited.
GLEN THEATRE: Patrons of the Glen Theatre have been enjoying some outstanding comedy drama from the Glen players over the past two weekends.
Both plays Last Tango in the Glen and Wake in the West have been playing to excellent audiances. This Thursday they will take part in the Ballincollig Drama Festival week where the group have won many awards over the years. They then return to the Glen Theatre on Friday November 4 and Sunday November 6 for a night of hilarious comedy. This is a show not to be missed. Further details and bookings on 029 56239.
COFFEE MORNING IN AID OF MARYMOUNT HOSPICE: Coffee morning in aid of Marymount Hospice will be held on Sunday 13th November in the Kilcorney Social Centre commencing at 11am until 3pm. Please support this worthy cause.

PROCEEDS OF MARYMOUNT HOSPICE COFFEE MORNING: A coffee morning was held recently in the home of Mary and Richard Cullinane, Dromahoe, for this very deserving cause. The sum of €951.75 was raised. A really wholehearted thanks to all who helped make this event such a success - all those who attended and donated money, everybody who gave prizes for the raffle, those who subscribed and were unable to attend. Thanks a million and hopefully we'll do it all again next year.

BOWLING NOTES: Ballyclough was the host Road for the Gerald Healy Shield between Ballyclough/banteer and the Kilcorney Club. The opening score went to Kilcorney when Eugene O Sullivan / John Healy and Mikie Mullane had two bowleís of odds to spare over Michael Murphy/john Breen/kieran Sexton of Banteer/ballyclough.
Kilcorney were on top again when Martin Kelleher/timmy Connorís/jimmy Collins beat Daniel Murphy /Mick Hennessy/liam Casey by a bowl of odds. However that decision was reversed when Danny Murphy/austin O Neil/damion Leonard beat Kilcorney players Donal Cullinane/jerry Cronin/jim O Doherty by a bowl of odds.
Kieran Sexton/dan O Doherty/john Breen Ballyclough/banteer followed suit with a bowl of odds win over Jimmy Collins/mick Mullane/jim O Doherty.
It all hinged on the last score with Ballyclough/banteer players Michael Murphy/daniel Murphy/danny Murphy taking the shield with last shot win over Eugene O Sullivan/martin Kelleher/donal Cullinane.
