45 Drive continues due to popular demand

45DRIVE: Due to popular demand it was decided to commence the 45 Drive every Sunday night at 8pm until further notice.
THURSDAY CLUB: Christmas Party at The Old Walls Liscarroll on this Saturday December 5 at 12.30pm. Names please before Friday. Christmas Mass in Cois Abhann Centre at 2pm on Thursday Dec 17. We invite new members to come along, especially any newly retired people. Make an effort and join this very enjoyable fortnightly get together, come and see for yourselves.
Transport is provided every Tuesday to Dromcollogher Day Care Centre leaving the Cois Abhann Centre at 10am.
GAA AFFAIRS: Lotto: Numbers drawn for last weeks lotto game were: 8, 19, 27, 30. There was no Jackpot winner. The following were lucky Dip winners: 1. Jim Ballintyne, (HAGGIS) Freemount. 2. GAA CHRISTMAS DRAW: Freemount GAA Club will hold their Annual Christmas Draw on Sunday December 20. This year the first Prize will be €1,000. Plus at least 20 more prizes. Don't forget to look out for these tickets as they are on sale in the shops and bars, and also from all club members. Your support will be much appreciated.
COMHALTAS: Music classes: The weekly music classes continue in The Heritage Centre on Wednesday nights.at 7pm. All instruments.
On Friday 11th. December it is proposed to arrange a short recital in The Heritage Centre with all students participating. This will be an opportunity for parents to see the progress the pupils are making, and also to meet the Music Teachers. All parents are expected to attend. COMMUNITY HOUS ING DEVELOPMENT NEWS: The Rambling house will be held at Cois Abhann Centre on Monday December 7 as usual.
The monthly meeting of Freemount Community Housing Committee will be held in the Cois Abhann Centre on Monday December 14. Everybody welcome.
FREEMOUNT MACRA: Best Wishes to the Freemount Teams competing in the Regional Basketball Finals in Mallow on Friday December 4.

Freemount at Kates QuickPick 10.15am. Newmarket (back of Super valu) 10.30am . Arriving in Kanturk at 10.40am.
Departing from the back of Supervalu (Kanturk) at 2.30pm for the return journey.
FREEMOUNT COMMUNITY ALERT: Freemount Community Alert held an information evening in the hall on Monday night last with guest speakers Ted Myers from the HSE, Diarmuid Cronin our Regional Community Alert representative and Garda Liam Doyle Community Officer. Ted provided us with some very helpful and interesting advice on how to identify and deal with elder abuse.
Diarmuid spoke of the hazards of Radon and advised that the Freemount area is found to be a High Radon Area. Contact the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland for a Radon Measurement by ringing FREEPHONE 1800 300 600 or log on to www.rpii.ie.
Garda Doyle appealed to everyone for vigilance and extra help for the guards in combating crime in these recessionary times.
