Biggest crowd for many years at Feis Laitiarain
THE FEIS LAITIARAIN in Cullen, now over a century old, took place in the local GAA grounds on Sunday last and attracted one of the biggest attendances for many years. This made the organisers extremely pleased with their work and full credit credit to them for keeping this annual event alive and well.
It's a part of the tradition of the area and something the people of Cullen are very proud of.
The local pipe band were on hand and gave a recital while live music was supplied by the Millstreet Comhaltas group, the Boherbue Scór musicians, with the Boherbue figure dancers also taking to the stage. MC for the occasion was Noreen Meade, Ahane, herself a talented singer.
