ACTIVITIES at Carrigoon GAA Complex tonight include the Cork Senior Hurling side in training on pitch one at 6.45pm. The U/14 City League hurling match between Mallow and Glanmire begins at 6.45pm on pitch two while the Mallow Minor Hurling side take on Blarney in a league match on pitch two at 8pm. On Friday the Mallow Intermediate Footballers face up to Mungret at 8pm. BALTYDANIEL LADIES NIGHT OUT: Baltydaniel Parents Association are hosting a ladies night at the school on tomorrow Friday, March 12 at 7.30pm. There will be clothes, shoes, jewellery, hair and make-up stands on the night. Admission is €10 and light refreshments will be served GAA LOTTO: Wheelspinner Terry Potter (Hawks) c/o Anne O'Neill won €75 in the Mallow GAA Members Weekly Lotto draw which was held in Carrigoon on Tuesday, March 2. The €30 lucky dip winners were Kay Sheehan, Blackwater Drive c/o Liam, Una (Contempo) c/o Anne O'Neill, Katherine Long c/o Sheehan's Butchers and Peter Barry c/o Tom O'Neill. The numbers drawn were 4 - 11 - 16 - 22. The jackpot is currently at €1,990. Spinning the wheel on Tuesday, March 9 was Tadgh O'Riordan c/o Town View Medical Centre. SPECIAL OLYMPICS COFFEE MORNING: A coffee morning with spot prizes and a raffle will be held in the Hibernian Hotel today Thursday, March 11 from 10.30am to 12.30pm in aid of the Mallow Special Olympic Group which includes football, swimming and golf. This is a fund-raiser for upcoming events in 2010. The group would very much appreciate spot prizes and they also need coffee, scones, tea etc for the morning. MALLOW PIONEERS: The monthly meeting of the Mallow Pioneers Association will be held in the Parish Centre on tomorrow Friday, March 12 at 8pm. New Members welcome.

CONGRATULATIONS: Mallow Citizens information Market Square, would like to congratulate Dick Griffin on receiving the Hall of Fame award from Mallow Sports and Leisure Council. ADULT LEARNING AGM: Mallow Adult Learning Centre held their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, March 3 in the Top Floor, Parish Centre. The scheme was founded twenty years ago and was given the Community Award in 2009 by the Sports and Leisure Council for its literacy work. The support given to the scheme since the last AGM by tutors, sponsors and the community in general is greatly appreciated. The officers elected on the night were Kathleen Dennehy - Organiser, Alison Barrett - Assistant Organiser, Michael Cronin - Treasurer, Mary Griffin - Secretary, L. O'Callaghan - PRO and Mary Ronan-Office Secretary. The scheme can be contacted at 022 - 42642 Monday to Friday.

LOURDES COLLECTION: The annual Cloyne Dioscesan Lourdes Pilgrimage (Invalid) Church Gate collection will be held at both Churches in Mallow this weekend. The group organise a pilgrimage to Lourdes for invalid people each year which also includes loyal helpers and asssistants and your support for this very worthy cause will be very much appreciated.
