Congrats to Michael on winning medal with Duhallow

GAA AFFAIRS: Lotto: Numbers drawn for last week's lotto game were: 1, 13, 25, 26. There was no Jackpot winner. The following were lucky Dip winners: 1. Noreen Curtin, Kanturk. 2. Mary Davern, Freemount 3. Tina Morton, Freemount, 4. Dermot and Kathleen O Sullivan. Ballybahallow ,Freemount 5. Denis Carroll, Kilberihert, Freemount . This week's Jackpot will be €6,500.

Congratulations this week to Michael Murphy who won a County Medal with the Duhallow U21 Hurling Team recently ,this is a great achievement and the local GAA. Club are very proud of him. The last Freemount Players to win an U21 County Medal with Duhallow were John O Flynn, Paddy Larkin, and Damien Keane, back in 1982.

Congratulations also to the Freemount Junior B Footballers who won Duhallow Championship last Monday night under lights in Millstreet.

They beat Millstreet on a score-line of 3-8 to 1-6. This victory finishes the GAA year on a high note for the Club. Paddy Collins Chairman, of the local GAA. Club had a double celebration, as he also celebrated a very important Birthday on Monday last. Congratulations Paddy.

AROUND THE FIRESIDE: The next programme of Around the Fireside will be broadcast on Monday night next at 9.50pm. on C103.

The Group on stage on Monday night will be a group from in and around Blarney, including K. Weldon, Charlotte O Byrne, Con Draper, Gearoid O Caithain, (the last baby to be born on The Blasket Island), Maire úi Chaithain, Mick Malone, Jerry Murphy, John Murphy, John Dinneen, John Kelly, Helen Walsh, Jim Banjo O Sullivan, Pat Buckley and friends are all back again on Monday night. FREEMOUNT NATIONAL SCHOOL: School Centenary ,and School re-union Committee will meet in The Heritage Centre at 7.30pm. on Tuesday next 1st.December. Everybody welcome. FREEMOUNT BADMINTON CLUB: Badminton will not resume until September 2010 due to ongoing refurbishment of Freemount Community Hall. When work has been completed there will be three full size courts on a new state of the art surface to look forward to.

PRAYERS IN PARISH CEMETERIES: Prayers in the Parish Cemetries for November will conclude in Ballinakill Cemetery on this Sunday Nov. 29 at 12.30pm.

It is proposed to replace the Cross and upgrade the base in Deliga Cemetery. This of course will cost money, so anybody who would like to contribute to this fund can do so by contacting Eddie O'Connell, Milford or PJ O'Sullivan, Freemount with your donations. DUHALLOW

AREA RURAL TRANSPORT (D.A.R.T.): A weekly bus service operates every Saturday,taking in TullyleaseFreemount-Newmarke t - Kanturk. It starts in Tullylease Church Car park at 10am. Freemount at Kates Quick-Pick 10.15am.

Newmarket (back of Supervalu)10.30am.Arriving in Kanturk at 10.40am. Departing from the back of Supervalu (Kanturk) at 2.30pm. for the return journey.
