Extra date for fund-raising concert for baby Jacob
TO meet overwhelming demand of support, an extra date has been allocated to a fund-raising concert in aid of Baby Jacob.
Jacob was born in Millstreet in September with a very rare condition called Anophthalmos which is a congenital absence of one or two eyeballs resulting in severe malformations of the facial skeleton. Early treatment is necessary and there will be fund-raising for this to help his family pay for the procedures.
A night at the Castle featuring a concert in Drishane Chapel on Friday, December 4, is sold out. To meet unprecedented demand, another date is added, that of Sunday, December 6, at 4pm. There is a superb lineup of performers including harpist/soprano Marina Cassidy; Millstreet Church Choir; Music Group "Sceal Eile"; Polish Choir from Cork; Claire O'Leary, fiddle soloist; Louise Bourke, soprano and Niall Moylan, pianist; Siobhan Forde, organist; and the Drishane Gospel Choir. Tickets can be purchased locally.
