Galtee Wheelers Club makes a welcome return

GALTEE WHEELERS CYCLING CLUB: Galtee Wheelers Cycling Club was reformed at a meeting in Pak Fitz's on Monday night last.

For the new year it is hoped that this club will get up and running with members who would like to get involved taking part whether you are a leisure or competitive cyclist.

The old Galtee Wheelers Club in the 70s were a great addition to the area and gave many hours of sporting activity to the area at a time when Sean Kelly and Stephen Roche were at their best in the cycling world. CHURCH CEREMONIES: Church ceremonies for Christmas begin this Thursday evening with Vigil of the Nativity Mass at 7.30pm. Carol Recital at the Parish Church 9.30pm. Night Mass of the Nativity will be at 10.00pm Thursday night at Ballygiblin and Kilacluig Churches Night Mass of Nativity 9pm.

Friday Christmas Day – Masses in Parish Church 8.30am, 10.00am 11.00am 12md Christmas Day Mass in Ballygiblin 9.30am Kilacluig 10-.30am.

Saturday Dec 26 Feast of St Stephen Mass in Parish Church 11.00am. Saturday December 26 Vigil Mass 7.30pm Parish Church.

Sunday December 27 Masses as usual.

Eucharistic Adoration will close this Thursday Christmas Eve before 10am Mass and will resume on Sunday after the 12md Mass.

Feast of the Holy Family – Sunday December 27. On Sunday afternoon there will be a special ceremony of Blessing in the Parish Church for all families and especially for all children baptised during the year and their families at 3pm. KNOCKADEA LOTTO: There was no winer of the jackpot of €3,550 last weekend,. The numbers drawn were 9, 10 and 24. Three lucky dip winners each received €50 as follows – Seamus Sheehan Corner House, Kildorrery, Nora Duggan, Kilclooney Knockanevin, Catherine Murphy Gurrane.

PARK UNITED FC LOTTO: The numbers drawn were 9, 1, 15 and 19. There was no jackpot winner. Next weeks jackpot is €2,950.
