DROMTARRIFFE Golf Society will hold its first ever Juvenile golf competition at Kanturk Golf Club on Tuesday, August 23. Tee time 10-11am. Age from 10-18 years girls and boys generous prizes on offer also some category prizes to be won. It's the first Juvenile competition for the Dromtarriffe Golf Society and was the brain child of the outgoing Captain Tadhg O'Flynn of O'Flynn Medical Services Ltd Millstreet, who very kindly offered to sponsor the event. The society hope to make it an annual event and hope to see a very good turnout of both boys and girls. It is strongly advised to make contact with either of the two lads as soon as possible if you intend to take part FOTA ISLAND GOLF: Dromtarriffe Golf Society Captains Prize will be held at Fota Island Golf Club on Saturday, August 20, tee time 11am to 12pm. Captain DC O'Sullivan hope to have a full turnout of golfers on the day and particularly a good turnout of the Lady members of the Society as well as some guest players. He is also hoping for a fine day and to experience some great golf as would be expected in such a fine golf course The Captain's prize is presented by DC and the rest of the days prizes will be sponsored by Rathcoole Oils. The society would like all members to attend if possible to make the day a success DROMTARIFFE JUNIOR LADIES: Dromtariffe Junior Ladies saw themselves into the county championship semi-final on last Thurday, August 11, after a convincing win over Mitchelstown. The Mitchelstown side went into an early lead with a goal not long after the throw in. Two goals by Katie O'Dea revived the Dromtariffe team. The half time whistle saw Dromtariffe firmly ahead. In particular Tara Galvin and Gillian O'Riordan shone for the Dromtariffe girls. The game finished on a score line of 2-15 to Mitchelstown 1-5.
