LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB: U.14's Are County Champions: It was the occasion of the U. 14 A Ladies Football County Championship final sponsored by the Evening Echo. The venue was Lackabawn, Donoughmore and the contenders were Mourneabbey and St. Vals.
Both sides, showed determination and grit and during the first half performance they were very evenly matched. At halftime whistle there was only a goal between the sides and the scoreboard read Mourneabbey 2 – 3, St. Vals 1 – 3.

JUVENILE GAA: UNDER 10: Clyda u10 hurlers took part in a hurling blitz over the two last weekends.
Our first outing was to Glantane where we played Ballyclough, Killavullen, and Kilshannig. We recorded two wins and a draw here after some very good play on a lovely summers evening.
Our next port of call was Buttevant, where we played Kilshannig, Kilworth and Ballyhooley. We won one game here and lost two, before heading back to Glantane for the final round. On this occassion we met Killavullen and Kilworth, and won all our games. It was a very enjoyable competition and great experience for all the young players involved.
Well done to trainers Billy Cronin, Brendan Walsh, and anybody else who helped out and well done to the young players for all their hard work. A special word of thanks to Kilshannig GAA also for providing much welcomed refreshments on the final evening.
UNDER 14: Clyda u14 hurlers played Blackwater Rovers in the first round of the championship. Clyda did not settle well in the first half, and Blackwater Rovers had a substancial lead going into the second half.
Clyda, however got off to a blistering second half start with great scores one after the other from Darragh Meaney, Conor Crowley, Conor Roche and Sean O'Connor. It was not to be enough though, and with a more convincing display on the night, Blackwater Rovers ran out winners.
