DROMTARIFFE GAA SOCIAL will take place at the Wallis Arms Hotel Millstreet on Friday January 29. Tickets are on sale at €25 each and are available from Derrinagree Post Office, Rathcoole Post Office or from Club Officers.

Music will be provided on the evening by the Celts. On the night the club will celebrate 125 years in existence and special guests on the night will be the victorious Minor Hurlers who won the Duhallow Minor Championship for the first time.

Tickets are limited and early booking is advisable.

DROMTARIFFE LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB: Social is on in the Wallis Arms Hotel in Millstreet on February 12. Tickets on sale from club members.

AFTERNOON OF PRAYER FOR HEALING: Afternoon of prayer for healing will take place in the Banteer Community Centre on Sunday February 7 commencing at 2.30pm with Joe Dalton and V. Rev Fr Michael Fitzgerald.

Programme: 2.30pm Recitation Holy Rosary Chaplet of Diving Mercy. 3pm Talk by Joe Dalton. 4pm Talk by Fr. Michael Fitzgerald. 4.45pm Benediction. 5pm Eucharistic Blessing. 5.15pm Healing Session with Fr Michael Fitzgerald and Joe Dalton. Concluding with personal blessing with St. Padre Pio Relics.

ALARMS FOR THE ELDERLY: IRD Duhallow is currently compiling a data base of older people who are interested in receiving a socially monitored alarm, smoke alarm and all door and window locks.

SYMPATHY: Sincere Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Nell Hickey late of Mill View, Millstreet. She is deeply regretted by her family Ted, Marie, Noreen, Michael and Sheila, daughters-inlaw, sons-in-law, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandson, sisters, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Removal took place from Manley's Funeral Home, Millstreet to St. Patrick's Church and burial took place following requiem Mass to the adjoining cemetery. May she rest in peace.

THANKS: The Community would like to extend their thanks to Cliona Browne and Billy Murphy who recently retired from the Board of IRD Duhallow. Both Cliona and Billy served not only on the board but also on various working groups all on a voluntary capacity.

KILCORNEY TODDLERS GROUP: The Kilcorney Toddlers group meets on the first Saturday of every month from 11am to 1pm in the Kilcorney Social Centre. This is a great way for parents and carers of babies, toddlers and preschool children to get together for a chat and a coffee and for children to interact and play with other children of their own and from their Community. New members are always welcome.

KILCORNEY SOCIAL CLUB: Kilcorney Social Club has recommenced after the Christmas break on Tuesday evenings at 8.30pm in the Social Centre. Everybody welcome.

DROMTARIFFE G.A.A. LOTTO DRAW: Winning Numbers were 12, 13, 26 and 28 and the jackpot of €4,500 was not won.

€50 went to Willie Nagle Rathmore and the seller was Niall O Connor.

€20 to each of the following: Tony McAuliffe c/o Niall O Connor, Phyllis Healy c/o Carolineís Bar, Daniel Dunlea c/o The Sandpit and Orla Murphy Clonbannin.

Next draw will be held at Curtins Bar, Clonbannin and the jackpot will be €4,600.
