Students finish dramatic series
THE transition year pupils at Millstreet Community School conclude their annual drama presentation on this Thursday night with the adaptation of Ray Cooney's 'It Runs in the Family'.
Millstreet Community School has staged a series of productions, meeting with a positive response from school colleagues, parents and the public.
The play follows the hilarious plight of neurology specialist, Dr Mortimer. Whilst preparing for the most important lecture of his life, the consequences of youthful adventures seem certain to thwart him.
The humour created by his complex explanations is made all the more funny by fellow doctors preparing for a seasonal panto and dead patients who refuse to stay still. At the end, the circle of relationships is completed, and some mysteries solved
Producer Jennifer O'donoughue and cast worked on the presentation and the fruits of their labour is evident in the production. The curtains rise at 8pm in the transformed school canteen.
Cast members include Donough Murphy, Conor Meade, Colm Barrett, Andrew Roche, Mark O'sullivan, Nadine Spillane, Joanne O'riordan, Padraig Mccarthy, Stephen Crowley, Kelly Murphy and Hayley Whitney.
