THE death took place in Dublin on Saturday, March 6 of Noreen O'Driscoll who originally came from an old Mallow family who lived in Fair Street. Noreen, who died at Beaumont Hospital, lived in Mallow all her life with her sister Peggy who passed away some years ago. Noreen moved to Dublin some years ago and lived with her late brother and his family in Baldoyle. Noreen will be remembered as a devout Church-going woman who was always a good neighbour. Her late father, Manny O'Driscoll, was a member of the famous Mallow team who beat Blackrock in the famous county final in the early years of the 20th century. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, relations and many friends both in Dublin and Mallow. Noreen was laid to rest in St. Fintan's Cemetery, Sutton after 10am Requiem Mass in St. Fintan's Church on Tuesday, March 9. To her relations and friends we express our deepest sympathy.
