Three good wins in past week for Clyda Rovers

Clyda Rovers GAA — Results: The club had three good wins over the past week, in the Division Two Football League Clyda accounted for Kildorrery last Wednesday night in Kildorrery by 1-12 to 1-04. Last Saturday Night in the Division Two Hurling League Clyda accounted for Buttevant by six points and in the Minor Hurling League on Sunday we beat Doneraile by a point. Fixtures: Tuesday, April 21 — D2 Hurling League: Clyda v Ballyclough in Mourneabbey at 7.30pm
Wednesday, April 22 — Minor B Hurling League: Clyda v Kilshannig in Mourneabbey at 7pm
Sunday, April 26 — Minor B Hurling League Clyda v St Mark's in Freemount at 2pm
Wednesday, April 29 — D2 Hurling League: Clyda v Ballyhooley in Ballyhooley at 7.30pm
Lotto: Draw on April 12. Numbers drawn were 11, 15, 19 and 29. There was no jackpot winner.
Spot prize winners: € 50 - Eileen Curtin, Ballyknockin; € 30 - Catherine Flynn, Ballyhillogue; € 20 - Davy Roche, Grange; € 20 - Mary O'Callaghan, Mallow; € 20 - Tomas O'Callaghan, Burnfort.
Next jackpot: € 12,500 and the draw takes place on Friday, April 17, in Derry Murphy's, Ballinamona.
LA NA GCLUB: The club will be announcing details next week of its plans to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the GAA on Sunday, May 10, which is Lá na gClub.
GOLF OUTING: The Bottlehill Lee Valley Golf Club outing took place on March 29. There were 36 golfers out for this the second outing of the society's calendar for 2009. The damp start to the day did not dampen the spirits of the Bottlehill Boys.
Scores were hard to come by because of the difficult conditions so the winning score of 38 in category one achieved by Paudi Corkery was particularly noteworthy.
Also in category two one of our new golfers won his first prize in golf with a great score of 20 and that was Jimmy Geaney. Well done to both golfers.

The next outing takes place on May 10 to Kanturk Golf Club.
The Cork Mental Health Association thanked the Society members for the sponsorship donated on the day of € 350.
