First buds of new business ideas

BUDDING young entrepreneurs will be showcasing their products at the regional finals of the North Cork Schools Enterprise programme this Thursday.
Mini companies representing 16 schools from throughout the region will exhibit their new business initiatives at the Mallow GAA Complex and make formal presentations to a judging panel.
Prizes will be given for best innovation, marketing, best business report, best display, best presentation and best overall company.
Just some of the business initiatives include proposals for producing a range of luxurious confectionery items, hand woven baskets, a children's story book and a turkey rearing business.
