History lectures

MUSKERRY Local History Society, from its Ballincollig base, are finalising its programme of lectures for the coming season which gets underway in October.
The recent AGM returned Liam Hayes as chairman, Dermot O'Donovan, treasurer, Tim O'Brien, secretary with committee members Seamus Healy, Donal O'Flynn, Seán O'Callaghan, Neil O'Mahony, Gene and Gemma O'Regan, Jerry Donovan, Marcella Fahy, Kitty Sheehan, Marian O'Regan, Pat O'Connell and Tom Shanahan.
The meeting decided to publish a journal with articles of times past and present and members were delighted when Dermot Lucey agreed to edit same. The publication will be on sale in November.
