Loved bingo and Killarney
THE death took place on Wednesday, February 10, at Mallow General Hospital of Denis O'Connell, Boherbue.
The late Denis ( pictured right) was a loving husband to Julia for just over five decades, and a great father to Patrick, John, Breeda, Siobhan, Denis, Jeremiah and Michael. Denis certainly enjoyed life to the full and celebrated his 80th birthday last October and enjoyed every minute of the huge party which was organised by his family to mark the very special occasion. He also loved to play bingo and was a regular at many bingo sessions throughout Duhallow. He also used to love visiting Killarney on Saturday mornings.
Denis and Julia happily celebrated 50 years of marriage on January 14 with their proud family. Julia was a very loving wife to Denis and cared for him over the last few years. Denis loved children, and they always made a beeline for him. He loved his grandchildren dearly, Emer, Jason, Ian, John, Darren and Amy. The late Denis O'Connell was laid to rest on Saturday, February 13, at Boherbue cemetery.
