New bridge for Mallow

THE design for a new bridge at Lower Beecher St in Mallow has been completed, Mallow Town Council heard this week.
Town engineer Keith Jones told councillors thate tender documents are currently being prepared.
He said the council is also in discussions with adjoining landowners to purchase land necessary for the construction of what is a replacement bridge.
Meanwhile, on March 26 the tender period for the grasscutting contract in Mallow town will come to an end. Subject to the proper assessment of tenders it is hoped to commence the contract before the end of March.
