TV3 Xposé presenter Karen Koster is to judge Ladies Day at Mallow races on Easter Sunday TV star Karen Koster, the glamourous presenter of TV3'S Xposé programme, will be in Mallow on Easter Sunday as the judge on Ladies Day during the Racing Home for Easter Festival.
With almost €2,000 worth of stunning prizes, Cork Racecourse Mallow will definitely be the most stylish place to be this Easter.
"I cannot wait to celebrate Easter Sunday in style at Cork Racecourse Mallow," says Karen. "Cork ladies are amongst Ireland's most stylish, so I'm looking forward to a very fashionable Bank Holiday".
Karen is a former Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) style ambassador, so she knows what makes a good outfit. "I love colour, so anyone wearing Easter yellow of course will catch my eye. But really, I'm hoping to meet lots of ladies up for a fun day out, so if your outfit reflects that, you'll get my vote!"
Meanwhile, festival chairperson Mary Kelly said "it's a testament to the great diversity of Mallow and Cork that we didn't have to look very far to source some terrific prizes for Ladies Day.
"Cork is simply overflowing with gorgeous stores, boutiques and creative people who we are delighted to collaborate with this year".
Mallow's Luna Bella Boutique is once again main sponsor of the event, with a €1,000 voucher for the store the top prize on the day.
Owner and image consultant Deirdre Duffy is really looking forward to the big day.
"Ladies Day really created a fabulous atmosphere and buzz in Luna Bella and indeed a buzz around Mallow last year, with not only our regular customers, but people from all over the country enquiring about it," she said.
Second prize is a stunning €350 VSL Tila cuff, from the Vikki Shorten Luxury line. Vikki is well known in Cork social circles, having established her own PR agency, but she is now focusing on her jewellery line which is being stocked in the exclusive Harrods store in London as well as other boutiques in Los Angeles.
The stylish lady who comes second on Easter Sunday will join stars such as Lady Gaga, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas and Paris Hilton, who have all been seen wearing VSL pieces.
The Macroom based AM Jewellery is sponsor of third prize, with a €100 voucher for bespoke headpieces or jewellery. "There were some really well dressed stylish guys last year and we hope to raise the bar in 2012," Mary Kelly says. "We're also welcoming Fitzpatrick's Jewellers on board for the first time. They are sponsors of best dressed man and the lucky winner will receive a €500 Fitzpatrick's voucher."
