Seven Cork businesses closed by safety orders
SEVEN Cork businesses were issued closure orders by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland in 2011, including a Fermoy store, two Watergrasshill kitchens and a Chinese restaurant in Buttevant.
Hamdans Kebab House in Cullen was also shut from June 3 until October 17 for violations under the FSAI Act 1998.
The Spring Garden Chinese Restaurant in Buttevant was issued a closure order on October 14 for offences under Official Control of Foodstuffs Regulation, which was lifted four days later.
The Sopot Styl store on Emmet Street in Fermoy was closed under the FSAI Act on October 26, with the order lifted on November 4.
Two Watergrasshill businesses were issued closure orders on October 5 last, with both subsequently lifted on October 24.
Both the China Inn Chinese Restaurant and the Fir Tree Bar had their main kitchen and associated food preparation areas temporarily closed.
