Massive turnout for Scór na bPaistí finals

THERE was a huge attendance at Mallow Youth Centre on Sunday last for the North Cork Scor na Paisti finals. The programme lasted 4 hours with the standard in all competitions very high. Noel O'Connor was Question Master with Fear An Ti Michael O'Donovan. Alec Morrissey was Time keeper with Barry Aherne as scorekeeper. The judging panel were: Angela Casey, Margaret Fradgely and Victoria Fradgely.
The Eddie O'Connor Memorial Award was presented to the Overall winners, which were Ballygown. This trophy was first presented at the Scor na Paisti finals in 2002. Ballygown were the original winners in 2002 and have also taken the title in 2004 and 2006.
This win marked the fourth win of this title last Sunday since 2002. Sincere thanks to Ballygown Principal John Hannon for the dedicated work they put into Scor year after year. The full list of winners and runners up were as follows:
