BOHERBUE produced a gutsy comeback to force parity on a late point from Denis McCarthy with hosts Dromtariffe in the Ducon Cup last Sunday.
In doing so, Boherbue had to battle back from arrears and a Roger Casey goal helped ignite his side's late charge.
A mundane opening allowed Dromtariffe force the pace on points to John O'Sullivan and Tadgh Browne. Boherbue settled and bounced back into the fray from points to McCarthy and Casey.
Favoured by the breeze, Dromtariffe enjoyed the lions share of the possession, boosted by the workrate of Vincent Browne, Pete McCabe, Seamus O'Sullivan and Eoin Dennehy.
Their dominance was confirmed from a Dennehy goal. However Dromtariffe were thankful to a fine save from 'keeper Colin Mullane to allow the home side enjoy a 1-4 to 03 interval advantage.
A status quo situation maintained during the third quarter before a reshaped Boherbue came good from the efforts of Kieran O'Connell, Conor O'Riordan, Liam O'Keeffe, Bertie Buckley and Jerry O'Connor.
The ideally placed Casey took advantage of a ball coming off the upright to net. Their efforts merited a fitting reward, O'Riordan charged upfield for McCarthy to split the uprights for the equaliser.
