JOCKEY Martin Lane, from Kilworth, scored his 21st win of the season at Nottingham races on Friday on Albeeb for trainer John Dunlop in the 1ml 6f handicap. Strongly ridden, he was driven to challenge over a furlong out, and stayed on well to win by less than a length.

THE concluding stage of the hugely successful twoday August weekend Mallow races on Monday saw local trainers John Joe Murphy and John Joe Walshe, and amateur James Carroll all visit the winners enclosure.
