Martin Lane scores treble at Fos Las
Thursday July 29 2010
SUPER apprentice jockey Martin Lane from Kilworth is currently performing at his very best on the racetrack, and further underlined his vast potential at Fos Las racecourse on Tuesday last where he scored a brilliant treble, on Dozy Joe at 80/1, Any Given Moment 2/1 from 9/2, and Innocuous 2/1jf.
Speaking after his outstanding achievement he recalled: "I have had a treble on the all weather last winter, but no one took any notice. The highlight of my career so far was winning the John Smiths Cup at York on Wigmore Hall.
I joined David Simcock's yard last November, and have not looked back since. He has been brilliant to me and gives me as many chances as possible, and many other trainers like Sir Michael Stoute, are now booking me as well, which augers well for the remainder of the season."
