April 2011: Eddie Dunbar
Banteer's Eddie Dunbar is the April representative in this year's awards ceremony after the scooped the award last year for his heroics on the bike. Eddie was rewarded by the national setup for his tremendous talent by being chosen to represent Ireland in the 2011 Youth Olympics which were held in Turkey last July.
March 2011: Colaiste Threasa U16 and U14 badminton teams
Sports like Badminton tend not to be at the forefront of our thoughts when we think of Sports awards. However, last March that changed when the monthly award went to Kanturk's Colaiste Threasa U16 Girls and the Boys U14 badminton sides.
Alastair ties up the title
CONGRATULATIONS to 16 year old Alastair Earley, Berrings, on his recent win in the Munster Champion Fly Tying Competition, held in Ballyhas, Kanturk.

KEEN Millstreet sportsman Bob Evans continued on his winning ways to secure national honours in the All Ireland Veteran Badminton Championships hosted in Lisburn, Co.

May 2011: Mallow Camogie Club
When sports teams tend to get awards it is usually men's teams that are at the forefront, however, last May the ladies of Mallow's Camogie Club came to the fore as they were awarded the monthly sport award for their achievements on the field of play.
June 2011: Boherbue Handball Club
June 2011 saw the Boherbue handball club receiving the award, and in particular the U14 team which scooped the coveted All Ireland Feile championship which was held in Ballinasloe. Shane Flynn, Daniel Moynihan, Katie Fleming, David O'connor and CJ O'sullivan won the 40 X 20 handball competition against the best in the land.
September 2011: Ballyagran camogie team
Plying their trade on the border between Cork and Limerick, the ladies of Ballyagran Camogie club were September's recipients of the Charleville Park Sports award.
Ballydesmond Inter-county Double
Ballydesmond Inter-county Double, Joe Collins Masters Memorial Tournament and provincial 40x20 championship dominate busy handball programme. Busy times in the handball courts as the provincial 40x20 championship commence, Ballydesmond run off their Inter-county Doubles Tournament and Liscarroll get the A section of the Joe Collins Masters Memorial Tournament underway.
