Kanturk and Dromtariffe get county games

DATES and venues for the opening round to the 2010 County Senior and Intermediate Football and Hurling Championships were ratified at a county board meeting on Tuesday night.
Two appealing games go ahead in a double bill in Kanturk on Sunday, May 15. Proceedings open with the Ballydesmond and Macroom tussle in the Intermediate grade. That's followed on the Premier IFC meeting and the all Duhallow clash of Kiskeam and Newmarket.
Meanwhile, Duhallow's encounter against Avondhu in the opening round to the County SFC scheduled for Easter Monday is brought forward to Easter Saturday, April 3 in Dromtariffe with a 6.30pm throw in.
The same divisions meet in the County Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday, May 1 at a venue to be confirmed with Kanturk pitted against Milford in the opening round to the IHC on Saturday, May 29 in Buttevant.
