Leaders Kanturk suffer first loss of season

PREMIER A leaders Kanturk suffered their first defeat of the season away to Pearse Celtic at the weekend, losing 3-1.
And there was more woe for Macroom when they went down 4-3 away to Ballyvolane. Here Keith Holden put Macroom ahead early on but after Ballyvolane took the lead early in the second half Macroom were left chasing the game despite goals by Barry O'Donnell and Martin Corcoran.
Elsewhere, Greenmount Rangers and Blackstone Rovers drew 0-0 while Leeds had a 1-0 win over Castleview. ■ In the Premier
League, the mercurial Killumney notched up a 7-1 win over Carrigaline while Millstreet Celtic came out on top of a nine goal epic against Watergrasshill Utd 6-3.
Coachford split a 0-0 draw with Blarney St Athletic while Grattan had a 30 win over Glenthorn Celtic. Kinsale beat Knockavilla 1-0 as De Courcey Albion went down 4-3 at home to Innishvilla.
■ Following on last week's 9-0 win over Rylane Celtic, Rathcoole Rovers could only add one point away to Fairview, 1-1, in
League 1A. Rylane, however, remained consistent, again scoring 0 to Glen Celtic's 3.
Park Utd didn't profit from their visit to Donoughmore, losing 3-1.
■ Glanworth Utd had a satisfying 2-0 win over Coachford in League 2A while Castle Celtic took away a point from Hillington, 1-1.
■ Rathcoole's second string made ground with a 4-0 win over Watergrasshill in League 3A, where there were plenty of goals last weekend. Los Zarkos went on a scoring spree but were still defeated by Grattan Utd 5-4 and CFC Banteer travelled to Ballyanley to beat Strand Utd 4-2.
■ In other news, Buttevant went down 4-3 to Richmond after extra time in the second round of the
County Cup, having finished 90 minutes at one apiece.
